Walkers Crossing Track, SA – A Shortcut From Birdsville To Innamincka
Walkers Crossing Track is less than 200km. Yet in that short distance, you’ll see a bit of everything. A scenic drive through desert country.
Australia’s big, really big. Renowned for “the great outdoors”, wide open spaces, fresh air and friendly people. The ultimate destination for outdoor travels. If there’s one thing we do have, it’s space.
Most of us are squashed in a thin strip down the East Coast… and most of us have no idea what’s over the other side of the mountains – otherwise known as The Great Dividing Range.
So many East Coasters have never even been over The Range. They have no idea what lies to the West. They live, work and holiday on the East Coast.
Not that there’s anything wrong with this. But there are so many magnificent places not on the East Coast – The Nullarbor, Flinders Ranges, Karijini, The Kimberleys, Lawn Hill, South-West WA to name a few.
You’ll find most – but not all – of the places on this website are West of The Great Dividing Range. There’s just so much to explore. It would take 5 lifetimes to explore Australia from top to bottom. Once you start to travel Outback Australia, it’s gets in your blood. You’ll be hooked for life.
Enjoy.
