Expedition Vehicle

Living With An Expedition Vehicle

Jump To Articles – Click Here!

Firstly, exactly what is an “expedition vehicle”?

Well, if you were to set up a vehicle with the purpose of travelling to remote and distant places… being self-sufficient for extended periods of time… able to travel overย pretty well all types of terrain… then you’d have an expedition vehicle.

So we’re talking long range fuel tanks, lots of water storage, storage space for lots of food and so on. We decided to set up such a vehicle. Our plan is to travel indefinitely to some of the remotest parts of Australia. So it made sense for us.

Or some people call them truck campers. Whatever the name, they’re an ideal way to travel!

We’ll give you some ideas:

  • Setting up your vehicle for remote travel.
  • Why we choose an Isuzu NPS and Wedgetail Camper.
  • A guide to choosing your set-up.
  • Modifications and issues we encounter.
  • The occasional report on both truck and camper.

We’ll keep adding posts along the way, so be sure to check back here from time to time.

Have a question? Please ask! We’re happy to help.
