Wild Deserts project aims to bring back locally extinct mammals, not seen in the NSW Corner Country for over 100 years. What is Wild Deserts?

Corner Country NSW covers a vast area of outback NSW. It encompasses an incredibly diverse range of landscapes… from the Paroo River floodplains to the desert dunes on the eastern side of the Strzelecki Desert.
Where is Corner Country? It’s vaguely defined as follows (see map below):
- To the left by the dingo fence along the SA/NSW border, from Broken Hill up to Cameron Corner.
- Along the top by the dingo fence along the QLD/NSW border, from Cameron Corner to Hungerford.
- Then run a rough line from Broken Hill to Wilcannia, up to Wanaaring then the QLD/NSW border at Hungerford.
Just be aware, this vague border moves around a bit… depending on who you talk to!
